Renault to Electrify the Goodwood Festival of Speed with Renault 4, Renault 5 and Renault 5 Turbo 3E
Renault is set to light up this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with an electrifying showcase of past, present and future icons. Taking place from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th July, visitors will get the chance to see the all-new Renault 4 E-Tech electric, the multi-award-winning Renault 5 E-Tech electric, and the incredible Renault 5 Turbo 3E as they make their mark on the UK stage.
The spotlight will be firmly on the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, appearing in striking pop! Yellow and pop! Green as it takes on the famous hill climb course. Since launching in the UK earlier this year, the Renault 5 has already made waves, quickly becoming one of the most in-demand electric cars on the market. Priced from £22,995 and with a range of up to 252 miles, it’s available to order and test drive now through Renault retailers nationwide, including here at Letchworth Renault.
Joining it will be the all-new Renault 4 E-Tech electric, making its UK debut at the festival. With design touches that nod to the original Renault 4, combined with modern electric innovation, it promises go-anywhere practicality and outstanding comfort. Thanks to its generous wheelbase, the Renault 4 also boasts impressive interior space, while clever styling features such as the three-part rear lights and illuminated front grille connect it to its much-loved predecessor. Customers who hold an R Pass can place priority orders, and those financing their vehicle through Mobilize Financial Services between 1st–14th July will also benefit from three years of free servicing.
Also making waves at Goodwood will be the breath-taking Renault 5 Turbo 3E. A full-scale design model of this electric-powered mini supercar will be on display, giving the British public their first close-up look at the most powerful road car ever developed by Renault Group. With two rear-mounted electric motors delivering 555 hp, a 0-62 mph time of under 3.5 seconds, and production limited to just 1,980 numbered cars, it’s a truly exclusive model set to launch in 2027 with a price tag of £140,000.
For added excitement, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E concept — nicknamed “Drifter” — will return to the hill climb course after wowing fans in 2023. Classic motorsport heritage will also be celebrated as Renault Classic showcases legendary cars, including the 1980s Renault 5 Maxi Turbo and historic Formula One machines once driven by Jean-Pierre Jabouille, Alain Prost and Michael Schumacher.
The Festival of Speed promises to be a celebration of innovation, performance and Renault’s incredible history — while looking firmly toward the future of driving.
